It was a scorching summer day, and I faced a tough challenge:
40 Jerks with 40kg and 100 Snatches with 20kg.

Nervous but determined, I stepped up to Steve Cotter’s fitness test.

The gym was thick with chalk dust, sweat, and tension.
“Ready, Gregory? GO!”

Everything went smoothly—until rep 36. I lost balance, and Steve shouted, “No Count!”

My mind raced, and my muscles screamed in protest.

But I refused to give up.
I silenced the noise of failure and focused, fueled by Angie’s cheers and Steve’s call to “use fast legs.”

Through blood, sweat, and determination, I hit that 40th rep.

That day, I learned the true meaning of perseverance and grit.
